Watching England virtually guarantee Wales the 6 Nations Championship by beating France, then sticking a bazillion samurai, ashiguru and warrior monks to lolly sticks to undercoat then base them. To put me in the mood for this epic task, I put Kagemusha (the Double) on. One of the classic Kurisawa films, it's set in the late 16th C so bang on for inspiration for painting my Japanese figures.
