I'm missing the start of the Race to Leningrad campaign tonight thanks to having to travel to London for some meetings (as well as having an all-dayer on Saturday - what joy!).
I was really looking forward to the campaign - where two German army groups are racing to attack Leningrad. The Russians have to hold them up / stop them with whatever troops they have at their disposal (these are determined randomly and could vary from a green infantry battallion to a veteran heavy tank brigade!).
The more troops each side loses, the less they'll have at the final battle so there is a fine balance between inflicting damage on the enemy but not at the cost of losing too many troops yourself.
I'm hoping the boys will take some pics and give me a basic bat rep for the blog.
Once again I'll be behind the rest of them in terms of the rules (I have forgotten 90% of the Spearhead rules and so will no doubt get creamed when I first play next week). As usual!
