I've finally dug my 10mm Gauls out with a view to actually putting a Gaul / German / Ligurian army on the table.
I also realised my errors in why these have taken so long. I've literally painted bits and pieces on lots of figures, rather than finishing a few units at a time.
So I'm now concentrating on producing individual BG's (for FOG) and bases (for DBA) - starting with the skirmish units. This way I can see the progress being done and also ensure I get the BG's I need to field the army (so I can gather together my nobles for Heavy Foot and other units for Medium Foot).
Hopefully, this way I can make more rapid progress and get the army together much quicker.
Part of the problem has also been using too many colours. Instead, I'm going to stick to a palette of maybe 6-7 colours (mixed and matched) which will give that Gallic variety of clothing but allow faster progress.
Pictures when they start coming off the production line!
