Austin tweeted this earlier, as his day was beginning.
This is what life is all about. The journey. What's around the next corner?-AUS10
Could he be talking about much more than his itinerary for the day?
Thursday was another full day for the group.
They spent it exploring Jerusalem’s old and new city. Got to see both Jewish and Christian sites and spent time as well in the Muslim quarter. At Mt Zion, they joined (for us non celebs it would be called crashing) a Bar Mitzvah. And walked the rooftops of the old city.
In the evening they enjoyed a wine tasting seminar, hit the bakeries and enjoyed some waffles.
And fans? Sounds like they found fans everywhere they went.
Today the group went underground. That is, in the tunnels and excavation under the Western Wall.Austin with a piece of clay that is over 2,500 years old.
For those who don't know, the Western Wall is at the foot of the western side of the Temple Mount. "It is a remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the Jewish Temple's courtyard, and is one of the most sacred sites in Judaism outside of the Temple Mount itself."" Just over half the wall, including its 17 courses located below street level, and dates from the end of the Second Temple period."
It is a very sacred, spiritual and holy place, and many come to read, pray and leave prayers and requests on slips of paper placed in the crevices in the wall.
Austin later tweeted a picture from the Shuk in Jerusalem.
What a day. Lunch in the Shuk. Best market on Earth.-AUS10
