Another area of progress was the Tarawa campaign - until Thursday. Having completed the camoflaged guns, most of the bunkers and the sea wall etc. it was then sprung on us that Mark would not be attending (as his brother had got a part in a West End show the family were going down to see - you couldn't make it up!).
Ian rightly pointed out that it would not be fair to run the extravaganza without Mark being there (especially as we'd be using his scenery!) so we've decided to postpone.
Instead we'll probably aim for two separate battles over the weekend - one Spearhead and one tbc.
We're having a bash at Victory at Sea on Thursday so we may give that a go at the big weekend.
Which is just as well as the measurements for the sea wall appear to put all development so far into a cocked hat as the scenery is both shorter than the 10cm originally thought and also curved (so the base has to be shorter AND flexible...)
Back to the drawing board.
