Having given some thought to the campaign structure for our DBA Ancients campaign I've decided on the following.
a) From now on, 1 gold piece is worth 10 Gold and 1 food piece is worth 10 Food (it will make calculation and handouts MUCH quicker and easier. Players will round up or down as required.
b) I won't bother playing the Egyptians - there's too much to think about running the campaign AND trying to run an Empire. So I will make the Egyptian empire a stand-alone area as is and simply make them Territories / Cities as per other unsecured territories (except that it will be a tough area to try and take over).
c) However, the Port will still be open for Trade.
d) On the Trade issue, I think it will be fairer for players to trade with any City or Territory where it connects to the sea (so they can do a simple coastal run if required). We'll try this on Thursday and see how it goes.
e) The battles seems to go quite well so I'll just have a stock of Blades, Spears, Cavalry etc. on hand for each battle which each player can dip into and use.
Apart from that, things will be pretty much as before.
