2010

In Times Square, New York City last night, thousands of people braved icy temperatures, sleet and slush to greet the new year.
.
After a decade marked by terrorism and a massive, worldwide financial meltdown, it is time for a new beginning.
.
For the 1 billion people in poverty across the world (out of 6.5 billion in total population), perhaps Winston Churchill's pithy quip, 'If you are going through hell, keep going' is apropos. Hope is eternal, and some of those who have the courage and the stamina to 'keep going' through hell may find daylight at the end of the tunnel.
.
For those physically and financially able, it is incumbent upon you to sacrifice both your time and money to help the less fortunate. Volunteers are needed all over the world - especially at the lowest levels of society. If you have not or are not currently doing volunteer work in your community, Kleostoday asks you make the time and effort to touch one life in need this year.
.
Kleostoday wishes everyone a year and a decade filled with love, hope and compassion for all.
.
Happy New Year!
