Panzer Colours

I borrowed this book of Ian after the epic SYW battle we re-played on Thursday.  I want to get a better feel for how my tanks should look when on the table.

I was so impressed I've bought my own copy off Amazon.  It provides not only a comprehensive guide to paint schemes for each period and zone of WW2 but also has some great photographs of German vehicles in action.

I was struck by the diversity of colour schemes, the paraphenalia that they carried with them and the battle damage which was sustained (such as mudguards ripped off armoured cars that were never replaced).  It certainly provides food for thought for developing a more personalised Panzer corps.
