To finally get my Gauls finished I'm setting myself a challenge - one BG a day. This means painting and basing a BG every evening (more at the weekend) to finally get a Gaul army on the Field of Glory table to take on some of Russ' armies (Carthaginians for example).
The aim will be to do the easier stuff (light foot etc.) during the week and make up the difference with the clunkier stuff at the weekends.
To field the Gauls I need 5BG of 8 bases of Warriors, 1BG of 4 bases of Armoured Cavalry, 2BG of 4 bases of Cavalry, 1BG of 8 bases of javelinmen and - for variety - 1 BG of 8 bases of Gaesati (those naked bods), 1BG of 8 bases of archers, 1BG of 8 bases of slingers, 1BG of 6 bases of Soldurii (which can double as Nobles), 2BG of 6 bases of chariots, 2BG of 8 bases of Medium Foot (Ligurian allies etc.) and 1BG of 8 bases of Gallic allies Heavy Foot and 1BG of 4 bases of Allied cavalry.
I make it 19 BG's - so I should complete the lot of them within 3 weeks.
