I don't know if you do this but I've increasingly found that I measure the amount I spend in wargaming terms. As an example, a Mars Bar in Tesco can be had for 40p - which to me equates to a 1/300 WW2 vehicle from Heroics and Ros.
I was going to go and see Everton play Wigan last Saturday - for the princely sum of £35. But to me that constituted the best part of a 6mm ECW Parliamentarian army, or a 1/300 Armoured Division - or indeed a 10mm Spartan army.
So when Mrs B informs me she's spent £80 on a hairdo, I do an instant calculation as to how much of a lead army I could have had for the same money - and silently rage against the heavens for such profligacy when I could furnish an entire African Korps and British 8th Army in 6mm for the same amount.
