Bits and pieces

Jake's checking out the theater scene on both coasts in the past month. New York isn't the only place Jake goes, last night he caught the play "Extraordinary Chambers" at the Geffen Playhouse.

As the Khmer Rouge once again attract international attention, this world premiere play gets to the heart of the headlineWhen Carter, an American telecom executive, brings his wife Mara on a business trip to Cambodia, he never imagines that the ghosts of this beautiful country will find a way to haunt their lives. As business deals unravel and personal negotiations brim with political consequences, Carter and Mara must decide if the salvation of one life is worth sacrificing the justice of many.

For such a social guy like Jake it seems like he wouldn't go to a play by himself, especially back in his hometown. Wonder who joined him last night?
Jake at the Arclight last Saturday night.

Source Code had a unconventional plot line, and it's still redefining convention. After making $110 million worldwide the next stop is the home market and that must be the BluRay/DVD release July 26 or is it? Source Code is stepping out of the box and will it be available on Video-on-Demand two weeks ahead of the DVD and Blu-ray. It will be available through VOD starting Friday, July 8, 2011. Think it will cut down on DVD/BluRay sales or is it catching the new trend of movie consumerism before most even acknowledge it.
